Minimum percentage of games played for stat significance

Submitted by Frank on 06/13/2010

This functionality has been a long time coming. Everyone has the person playing on their team that shows up to one game and has the best game of their life. From that point on, they appear at the top of their stats because they have the best averages on the team. Since stats like this don't significantly prove that these players are indeed having the best season, there is new functionality introduced today that will drop these players to the bottom of the stats.

Box Scores for Team Schedules and Game Print Outs

Submitted by Frank on 09/21/2009

Box Scores are now available for teams through the schedule. You can add them through the "Edit" screen for each game on your schedule. There are two important fields you will find on the "Edit Form" for Box scores. Usual Periods is the number of periods you were scheduled to play for the game. If this was a baseball game and you usually play 6 innings you would enter 6 for this. If you play basketball and you play two halves you would enter 2 here. The second field is Last Period. For this field, you want to choose the last period you played in the game.

E-mails sent when team stats are added/modified

Submitted by Frank on 06/28/2009

Many players want to know when their stats have been updated. Until now they would have to keep logging in until they finally saw that they were added. Now each player has the option of receiving e-mail alerts whenever their coach or another player adds stats for them. We have turned this feature on by default. You can disable it by logging into the site and un-checking the "Someone updates your stats" option in the "Personal Settings" area. The site won't spam you either. We will e-mail you once for each game's stats that are added or modified.

Team Stats Filters Available Now

Submitted by Frank on 06/21/2009

Team Filters are now available for the full season view. They work the same as the individual filters and now we have added the option to filter by Player on top of the game filtering we have for individual filters. Here is a screen shot of the new filtering form for teams.

There will not be a filtering capability added for the "By Game" view because you can get those same views from the full season filtering.

Updates to Team Roster - Delete Empty Seasons/View Roster for Each Season

Submitted by Frank on 04/21/2009

Team Rosters have been split to show the roster for each season. In the past there was one roster and older players were retired so they wouldn't be shown on the active roster. Since most team's rosters change a lot over the years it made sense to split the roster by season to keep things cleaner on the site. Here is a screenshot of the new season links on the roster:

Update to Team Schedule - Delete Empty Seasons

Submitted by Frank on 04/21/2009

The team schedules have been updated to give each team coach/admin the ability to delete empty seasons. This option is only available if your haven't associated any stats to it. If you have only entered a few lines of stats, you can clear out those lines and then the link to delete that season should appear. A screenshot of the link location can be found below:

Modified Team Edit Stats for more Accurate Games Played

Submitted by Frank on 03/26/2009

Quick Update...Before today, any sports that had drop downs on the "Team Edit Stats" page counted a Game Played for every player even if you added stats for only one. Now a Game Played will only register if you enter a statistic into at least one category for a player.

If your GP category is not correct for certain sports, go into the "Team Edit Stats" page and clear out each field for each player that did not play in that game. Once each of those rows is completely blank, submit the form and your GP category should be correct.

How to Start a New Season for your Team

The real power of TomorrowsPro comes when you use it over the course of a few years. Each team is allowed to store as many seasons of data as they want so you should take advantage of it. The power of data will help you prove that there was improvement over the course of the off season. It's a great way to justify that off-season training program you finally got your players to commit to.

In order to make this new season as concise and easy as possible, follow these steps:
